JAZZ ON THE VINE is the theme of the 2010 Long Island Winterfest for the third consecutive year. It runs from February 13 to March 21, 2010 across the East End of Long Island and once again offers 6 great weekends of more than 70 FREE jazz concerts* at winery tasting rooms and other venues on Saturdays and Sundays. The musical calendar will be supplemented by special kickoff concerts on February 6 and 12, and by special offers and promotions at tourism-related businesses and cultural venues throughout the region.

2010 Winterfest events are being organized by the Long Island Wine Council, the East End Arts Council, Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Workforce Housing, Office of Film & Cultural Affairs, the Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau with support from Peconic Public Broadcasting, Steinway Piano Gallery Long Island, Teatro Experimental Yerbabruja and I Love NY. Winterfest was conceived in 2006 to generate increased business on the East End during the slowest part of the year by promoting a calendar of activities and offers. The program has grown to include many businesses, and this is the third year that the promotion has adopted a musical theme.
